Whats New About The Fall Wedding Cakes Today

Oh! So you have a wedding during the fall? Now this is going to be having a truly different character than other weddings, which will be during any other time of year. The main reason being that at this time the spirit is amazingly festive. Everybody appears truly hopeful and gaily abundant. You should go ahead and incorporate a few of these should find a way to get all these styles and include reception too. Actually, it is real fun when you begin to add that unique seasonal touch to your autumn wedding; and this you get simply by having a themed fall wedding cakes.

Since your wedding cake will be the main points of interest in your wedding reception, after you, of course; you have to incorporate some seasonal touches in the cake decorations and in the flavor of the wedding cake.

Since the weather is not that scorching hot, you can use almost any cake decoration that you can think of for your autumn wedding cake. Try out Chocolate ganache, buttercream, or even fondant, marzipan or royal icing. They all do very well in these cooler temperatures of fall.

Just take inspiration from the season around you for fall cake decorations. The Fall foliage, delicious harvest fruits, full grains, plump pumpkins and gourds can all be incorporated into that wedding cake design. A cake which is covered in bright marzipan leaves will always be an obvious choice. Other option is to decorate your fall wedding cake with tiny, miniature pumpkins, red apples or even tiny pears.

For fall weddings, cupcakes can be decorated in so many different and truly enticing ways. In case you are using a leaf theme, just have each cupcake decorated with a leaf which may be red, orange or yellow.

You could also decorate the cupcakes with some fondant mushrooms or even tree branches. Another idea is to decorate these cupcakes with tiny marzipan apples or miniature pears. Now, if you like the idea of individual cakes and you are doing a woodsy fall wedding theme, plan on having individual roulade which is made from chocolate cake and icing. And decorate it to look like the trunk of a tree.

The best will be to use real fruit to decorate your fall wedding cake. Take some grapes which have been dipped in caramel or just covered with divine superfine sugar. These can cascade down the tiers of the fall wedding cake or can be simply placed in bunches at key points all over the fall wedding cake.

Other option is to put small size, lady apples or crab apples for decorating wedding cakes. But in case you are doing a Halloween themed wedding, then you have to decorate your cake with caramel dipped lady apples definitely.

So, in the end, we must tell you that if you are working for a good fall wedding, then the rustic will be a good setting for that wonderful day that only happens one time. Along with that fall setting, don’t forget about the fall colors that consist of brown, red, orange and yellow. The food you serve along side that nice fall wedding cakes should be something like roast beef or turkey. A pork loin may also be a great choice on your hands. Good luck with your special day and don’t forget that there are many great fall wedding decors online.

We were Meg and Jack White — The White Stripes — last year.

By profession, I am an artist and he is an accountant, if that matters.

I’ve been Frida Kahlo way too much, can’t do that again.

Any ideas???

Nothing too common, please.

A toothbrush and toothpaste. They were made for each other.

Maybe a pair of sneakers or mittens, if you tie yourselves together.

A bowl of popcorn and a fountain soda.

Halloween Party Appetizers – Easy Recipe For Bloody Ears

  • June 29, 2010 10:21 pm

No party is complete without some great appetizers, but it is especially true on Halloween when your are searching for the most perfectly disgusting body parts. not only do they have to look bad, but they still have to taste good. Here is my favorite appetizer for everyone who loves shrimp, and it is both fast and easy to make

What you will Need:

  • 1 lb medium-large sized cocktail shrimp
  • 1/4 pound small cocktail shrimp
  • toothpicks
  • cocktail sauce
  • rosemary sprigs for garnish

How to make them:

Go to your favorite grocery store or fish market and pick up some already-cooked cocktail shrimp. since the shrimp you are using is ready to eat, you will not have to de-vein or shell them, but you will have to cut off the tail. cut off the tails. next, take the medium large shrimp and slice them down the middle (on the inside of the curve) so that you are butterflying them. Tuck the small shrimp into the medium large shrimp and skewer with a toothpick. Skewering them will hold the ear together, giving it the appearance of a human ear.

Finish off by drizzling a little cocktail sauce over one of the ears so it appears bloody. this is your sample ear so prop it up for all to see… then place the rest of the shrimp strategically on a platter, with cocktail sauce drizzled around it (not on it, some people do not like it). finish by putting a few rosemary sprigs on the drizzled blood (cocktail sauce). have a bowl of cocktail sauce and some sliced lemons on the side for the guests to use at their fancy.

When you put this together, you will how this can be a very popular and easy appetizer for a disgusting Halloween party food. Bon appetit!

Cake Decorating Ideas Are Everywhere

  • June 29, 2010 7:21 pm

In our current society, cakes are a favorite means to observe just about any occasion. Cake decorating ideas can be seen just about anyplace, if you know where to look still, not everyone knows how to decorate a cake. Fortunately, there is a vast assortment of cake pans and items that will help make decorating cakes easy.

To begin, you will need to know what social function to make your cake for. as an example, it would not look right to bake an Elmo birthday cake for a Saint Patrick’s Day party. The good news is, after you know the occasion, the rest is simple.

You can use an animal pan. Many occasions can be represented with an animal. For example, a bunny often symbolizes Easter, a deer can be used for Christmas, and a cat cake can be used at Halloween.

You can also select from numerous popular animal characters for birthday cakes. Presently popular animal characters include Blue the dog from Blue’s Clues, Elmo and many of his friends from Sesame Street, and Boots the monkey and Swiper the fox from Dora the Explorer.

You also have the option of placing animals on top of the cake for decorations instead of using an animal cake pan. there are oodles of small, plastic animals available at stores that you can purchase to adorn your cakes. This would be an excellent way to create a zoo setting for animal lovers.

Holidays are forever fun to make cakes for, and you can let your imagination go crazy. If nothing else, you can use sprinkles in various colors. you can add edible heart decoration sprinkles on cakes meant for Valentine’s Day. Black and orange sprinkles are perfect for Halloween cakes, as are green and red sprinkles for Christmas cakes.

Ornamental cake pans come in patterns particular to holidays that make them perfect for holiday cakes. Frankenstein, ghosts,, and other monsters can be used for Halloween. Pumpkin cake pans are good for both Halloween and Thanksgiving cakes. Cornucopias and turkeys may also be used for Thanksgiving. Hearts and cherub pans are great for Valentine’s Day. Bunnies and eggs are just right for Easter. Pots of gold, leprechauns, and rainbows pans are great for Saint Patrick’s Day. All you need to do is find a cake pan or decorative item particular to a holiday and start decorating a holiday cake.

Vehicle cakes are always popular with boys. there is just something about a moving vehicle that enchants young boys. you can create cakes that showcase airplanes, boats, cars, dump trucks, fire engines, helicopters, and tractors. you can place vehicles into the frosting to make scenes with them. you can even add small building built from Lego’s and Lego’s people. Just make sure whatever you place on the cake will not be hurt by either the icing or water from washing off the frosting from the vehicle or item.

Do not forget that your own imagination can be just as good, if not better than, ready-made pans and ideas. you are likely to come up with ideas that no one else has come op with before. Your local arts and crafts store can be a wonderful place to get ideas and items that you can use for your own ideas.

Are you worried that you are not good enough to decorate a cake well? Do not worry about this. Do not make the perfect cakes seen at bakeries your goal when decorating cakes. Your cakes are sure to be wonderful regardless of how they look. Know that your efforts will certainly be appreciated, no matter how your cakes turn out. So, bake and decorate your cake, then take it easy and bask in the praise you get from the people who enjoy the fruits (or, in this case, cakes) of your labor.

Dress In A Sexy Halloween Costume For A Fun Night Out

Dress In A Sexy Halloween Costume For A Fun Night Out

Sexy Halloween costumes for a fun night out can mean a variety of things from having a fun night out for just you girls, couples acting out and simply having a good time to being something different for one night a year. Now, when we think of Halloween Costumes, we think of only wearing them for one night – October 31st. Yet this is simply not true. Many not only put on their costumes for more than trick or treating, but for masquerade balls, holiday festivals and to simply role-play for the day.

Getting dressed up is not only about wearing a scary mask or haunted houses full of Witches, Mummies, Bats, and Skeletons but about having fun. Halloween is a celebration of All Hallow’s day, All Saints Day and the Celtic Samhain all rolled into one night of revelry and fun. You can dress in your favorite Theatrical costumes, like vampires, a pirate, fairy, angel, and even a werewolf. Both men and women can have fun on this Holiday wearing fashions they never thought to wear. It doesn’t matter if you choose a Sexy Halloween Costume or a silly one, you will have fun dressing up.

Sexy Costumes can allow a couple that has an attraction to each other to simply dress up in something they would normally not wear. It is not about being scandalous but about having fun. You can pretend you are a historical hero or heroine right out of the history books, or choose something more modern, like your favorite mascot. Many Halloween costumes are a way to mimic a supernatural creature, or someone seen on TV.

While at your costume or Halloween party, you could bob for apples, have contest on which Costume is the best, Carve jack-o’-lanterns, go to a Bonfire and in some places like Ireland see Fireworks. It is not only about the sweets though that is a major part, it can also be another way to give gifts and have fun. Imagine you and your friends dressing as the same characters and not only be the bells of the ball but have a great laugh as well.

Halloween was originally called Samhain and was a Pagan Festival among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain. This tradition spread to North America and Scottish immigrants brought their customs with them. Halloween is celebrated in many parts of the Western World and though the most common is the United States, places like Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand celebrate it as well.

This time honored tradition of dressing up and having fun can be a trying time for some. The boom of online costume stores has changed this, however, and many can be bought worldwide. If you are worried that something does not fit, then you might like to know that there are charts and even customer service specialists to help you find just the right size and look.

These stores carry everything from 20s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and the 80s clothing to Egyptian, Medieval & Renaissance, which are also great for the Renaissance Fairs popping up all around. They also have fairytale legends, military and uniforms, maids, and of course, the belly dancer as well. Belly dancing has become a popular exercise and what better way to show off all your hard work than with a sexy belly dancing costume.
