Just because a costume is labeled plus size the costume should not be double the price. Often times certain stores and websites may raise their prices on plus size costumes. They see it as a specialty item, instead of a mainstream costume made for the Halloween or the year around market. It is Ok to pay a little more, but double or triple the price is not worth your hard earned money. You may notice that no matter where you find your costume it may be a little more expensive than the smaller sizes and that is OK. Keep in mind that these costumes are designed especially for your body type, because the smaller costumes are made pretty much all the same. You are basically buying a customized piece of clothing.

2) Sexiness of the costume

Contrary to popular belief, plus size costumes are some of the sexiest for Halloween or for that matter for any event or special occasion. While smaller costumes are just made to fit a more narrow frame, plus size costumes are made to enhance those areas of the woman who are considered pleasing the eye. They enhance what a curvy woman has and add just the right sensual touch to the holiday evening. For those that are a little self-conscious about wearing one of these costumes, all it takes is to try one on to see how nice it will make you look.

3) Availability

How hard are they to find? It all depends what part of the world you live in, but for most western countries, they can easily be found through a quick search through the internet. Web stores usually have a better choice in styles, sizes and colors. Most Halloween superstores or retail stores in general only carry what they think they can sell. Sizes are often limited. This is not the case with online retail stores. Most are year around and stock high levels of inventory for any time of the year. The higher inventory also makes them a lot less expensive than a regular retail store. Since they buy larger quantities, they get a bigger discount in cost which is passed on to the costumer.

These are just a few helpful tips to finding the right plus size costume for you. If you don’t find what you are looking for in one internet store, then continue on to the next. You are going to find that not all costume internet stores are the same and most do not carry the same inventory. Have fun shopping and enjoy the holiday season.

I’m an assistant teacher for a kindergarten class on fridays, and since Halloween is on a friday this year, I was told that I could dress up in a costume for them. They are having a party. So any ideas?

I have a box of red velvet cake, and white icing(that I plan on dyeing orange or green) and I have some black gel that I wanted to use to draw on cobwebs. I wanted to do a two layer pretty classy looking cake. Any other ideas for me???

a classic bobbing for apples in ice cold water. and have a costume contest get like a gift card to like hot topic or starbucks. they only have to be like 10-20 bucks. not a lot of money.
