A stag party is not only about dressing up the stag in funny clothes and getting him drunk, although of course that is part of the proceedings. It should also be about creating a memorable day, or if you are fortunate, a weekend!

Here is a wide range of activities that can be included in a stag weekend to make sure nobody is left underwhelmed by the party!

1. Paintballing – We have to start with the most popular activity for stags to include on their weekend. Paintballing is on offer in all major stag party destinations in the UK and in most of the popular European cities. If you have a big enough group you can compete against each other on the battle field, or group together and take on an enemy. With authentic props you’ll quickly feel as if you’re at war and then you must decide if you are a sneaky sniper or a trigger-happy fighter.

2. Go karting – Another firm favourite and widely available stag activity is go-karting. Most locations have an indoor circuit, which are still fun, fast and frenetic, but for a real adult racing experience the outdoor tracks are best. The lads will get highly competitive doing this as winning is everything!

3. Golf – A stag weekend is often a tiring affair with one or two big nights out and for some it is not easy to spend the day charging around like an overgrown kid and then be motivated for a heavy night out. A perfect solution is a round of golf – some light exercise, plenty of fresh air and some friendly competition.

4. Clay Pigeon Shooting -There is something very exhilarating about holding a shotgun aloft after blasting your target out of the sky, so shooting clay pigeons is a perfect activity for a stag weekend. You can all compete against each other to see who is best at hitting the moving target.

5. Quad biking – Fast, exciting, muddy and ever-so-slightly dangerous. Yes, quad biking is fantastic! All across the country there are countryside locations designed especially to be tackled by these powerful four-wheeled monsters.

6. Kayaking – Perhaps better saved for the warmer months, Kayaking is physical but very rewarding, especially as you get to enjoy some fantastic scenery as you navigate your way downstream.

7. White Water Rafting – Continuing on the wet theme is white water rafting – which is more hair raising and definitely more wet. This is a great way for the group to get together and work as a team and scream like little babies together as they hurtle down the river.

8. Human Table Football – This is something much more light-hearted, but without doubt memorable entertainment. We’ve all played table football, and we’ve all played football. Now merge the two together and you’ve got this surreal activity that will be the highlight of your day!

9. Coasteering – It couldn’t be more simple – scramble, climb, swim and cliff jump your way around rocky coastline, over rocks, cliffs, caves and waves. This is a great way to see some of Britain’s best coastal destinations.

10. Sumo Wrestling – To end this round-up we’ve included something silly. You may feel chubby after Christmas indulgence, but nothing will compare yourself for putting on a sumo fat suit and then attempting to barge your mates out of the ring with just a loin cloth to keep your plastic dignity.
