Why wait until Halloween to dress in costume?

The O Street Barnes & Noble Booksellers is hosting twodress-up storytime events Friday and Saturday.

At 10:30 a.m. Friday it’s a Mad Hatter Tea Party. Kids are askedto dress as their favorite Alice in Wonderland characters.

At 10:30 a.m. Saturday it’s a Pirate Party Storytime. Kids areurged to don their pirate costumes for stories and activities.

All events are free.

Speaking of pirates, only a few shows remain for the UnionCollege musical comedy “That’s what makes Them Pirates!”

The play is based the CD “Pirates Do the Darndest Things” byLincoln children’s recording artist Mike Mennard.

Showtimes are 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday and 9 p.m. April 3in the Woods Auditorium on the Union College campus, 3800 S. 48thSt. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students, children andsenior citizens. Tickets are available in advance atThatsWhatMakesThemPirates.com
